2022 MLB World Series Odds Update After 3 Weeks of Regular Season Action

We are one month into the 2022 MLB season, so there has not been a huge shift in the odds that we saw prior to opening day. That said, some teams are showing early on why they are in among the favorites, while others are struggling somewhat to live up to the high billing. In short, it is a start to the season that we have seen before. The fact of the matter is that some teams are able to get out of the gate quickly and roll, while others need a month or two to get into stride and pick up some steam. The odds that we will look at today will change in the coming weeks and months, and it is going to be very interesting to see how things develop over the course of the season. Let’s take a look at the current favorites on the bookies board so you can continue planning your bets against the MLB World Series Odds.

2022 MLB World Series Updated Odds and Betting Favorites | May 4th Edition

LA Dodgers (+450)

Given the amount of money that the Dodgers have at their disposal, getting the best players on their squad has never been a problem. Winning it all is a little bit tougher. The Dodgers have been in 3 of the last 5 World Series, but they have only managed a single championship during that run. They look ready to make another run, though, as they are out to a 15-7 start to the season, which has them a half game up in the NL West. They look like a well-balanced team, and I don’t expect them to slow down too much as the season progresses.

New York Mets (+700)

There is no such thing as an easy path to the postseason and the World Series, but you do have to say that the Mets look to be in a pretty good position, even this early in the season. They have charged out to an 18-8 record and a 4 ½ game lead in the NL East. Of the 4 other teams in the division, only one, the Miami Marlins, has a winning record at this point. Yes, that may change, as we all expect the Braves to be better, but the Mets are certainly taking advantage of what looks to be a weaker division in the early part of the season.

Toronto Blue Jays (+700)

We expected there to be a bit of a battle in the AL East, with more than one team in with a legit shot at making their way into the playoffs. The Toronto Blue Jays are off to a decent enough start to the season, going 15-10 to this point. That still has them sitting 3 ½ games out of the lead, which is currently being held by the Yankees, who are winners of 11 in a row. The runs being surrendered by the Blue Jays at this point has to be seen as an issue. They will need to tighten up if they are to make a serious run.

New York Yankees (+890)

As we briefly hinted at when talking about the Jays, the New York Yankees are a team who are seeing their stock on the rise. Again, they are currently on an 11-game win streak that has taken their overall record to 18-6 on the season. It’s a pace that is going to be impossible to maintain, but for now, the Yankees are firing on both sides of the ball.
