2022-2023 NFL Regular Season
- When: Sep. 8, 2022 – Jan. 8, 2023
Miami will be much improved and the New England Patriots should put up a challenge. But there are times where we mustn’t create something from nothing.
Creating a story where the Bills lose the AFC East requires imagination. Buffalo has the best offense, the best defense, and, yes, the best coaching staff in the division. Bills roll.
Early NFL Division Pick: Buffalo Bills
The Browns and the Ravens are underlays. Deshaun Watson hasn’t played in a year and the 22 lawsuits continue to hang over his head. Baltimore’s offense still can’t pass effectively.
Pittsburgh will start Mitch Trubisky or Kenny Pickett under center. So at +200, the Bengals are the overlay pick. Cincinnati improved their offensive line, which means Joe Burrow could have an MVP season.
Early NFL Division Pick: Cincinnati Bengals
Matt Ryan should have plenty of success, but at the odds, the Colts are a play against. Indianapolis had their chance last season. It’s difficult seeing Indy dominating.
Tennessee won’t dominate, either. A.J. Brown was a huge part of the offense. So the Titans may not be as effective at posting points to the scoreboard as they were in 2021.
The Jaguars offer very good odds. The Jags improved where the had to. Not only that, but Trevor Lawrence should take a massive step forward playing behind a stronger offensive line.
Early NFL Division Pick: Jacksonville Jaguars
The AFC West is a “throw a dart” division, meaning these four should battle until the final three weeks of the season to see which squad takes the division title. Because we have to throw a dart to find the winner, our choice is obvious.
The Las Vegas Raiders offer overlay odds. Derek Carr just landed the best wide receiver in the NFL in former Green Bay Packer Davante Adams. LV shouldn’t offer anything close to +650.
Early NFL Division Pick: Las Vegas Raiders
How much better than the Washington Commanders are the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles? No, seriously, how much better?
The Commanders have a legit starting QB in Caron Wentz, the defense will be better, and the odds are much better. Washington is the play.
Early NFL Division Pick: Washington Commanders
Even without Davante Adams, the Green Bay Packers should win the NFC North. Aaron Rodgers is happy. A happy Aaron Rodgers is all Green Bay needs to sweep the Vikings, Bears, and Lions.
We’re not saying Green Bay does sweep those teams, but Rodgers will play at an MVP level again. So the chance of a division sweep is there for the taking.
Early NFL Division Pick: Green Bay Packers
The Buccaneers are an underlay. New Orleans recently signed safety Tyrann Mathieu and wide receiver Jarvis Landry.
The Saints will again have one of the top offensive lines in the NFL. Not only that, but New Orleans dominates Tom Brady. So give the Saints a big chance. At the odds, they’re a great play to win the NFC South.
Early NFL Division Pick: New Orleans Saints
Last season, the NFC West was the best division. This season, it’s not close. San Francisco will field a quality team, but losing offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel, who is now the head coach at Miami, is a huge blow.
Seattle traded Russell Wilson. The Kyler Murray experiment in Arizona is on life support. The Rams went through some changes, but now that Matthew Stafford has won a Super Bowl, he should be even better this season.
The odds make the Rams an overlay. Yes, the Rams have the toughest schedule in the league, but they’re also one of the NFL’s top three teams. Don’t be surprised if LAR has a 3 games lead over SF at the halfway point.
Early NFL Division Pick: Los Angeles Rams
