2022 NHL Playoffs Betting Predictions for Game Three of the 2nd Round Series

The start of the second round of the NHL playoffs has been as good as the first, but there is zero time to catch our breath, as we are about to head into the weekend with a bunch of games coming our way. It’s a quieter night on Saturday, with just 1 game on the schedule, but Sunday delivers 3 games in an evening that could prove to be pivotal for all the teams involved. We are still very early in the second round, but by the time Sunday night comes to a close, all 4 series are going to look a little clearer, with desperation almost certainly settling in for at least one team. Let’s take a look at the upcoming NHL playoffs weekend games so you can bet against the NHL Playoffs Odds.

Playoffs Second Round Games to Bet On the Weekend | NHL Betting Picks

Colorado Avalanche at St Louis Blues – Game 3

You have to say that it was mission accomplished for the St. Louis Blues, as they head home after getting the split in Colorado. They are perhaps a little unlucky not to be coming away with more after losing Game 1 of the series in OT before bouncing back with a convincing 4-1 win in Game 2. The Blues had just 1 home game versus the Avalanche in the regular season, a game that they lost 4-3, so they are not necessarily a lock to take advantage of home ice. This has been a tight series to this point, and I expect more of the same on Saturday.

Florida Panthers at Tampa Bay Lightning – Game 3

You have to say that the surprise of Round 2, to this point at least, is the Tampa Bay Lightning going into Florida and taking both games. While 0-2 is a bad hole to be in during a playoff series, a win for the Panthers in Game 3 could see the momentum shift. The issue here is that you wonder how they are going to bounce back from losing Game 2 with just 4 seconds left on the clock. The Tampa Bay Lightning, a team that has won each of the last 2 Stanley Cups, are playing like a champion and looking tough to knock off. A win in Game 3 for them might just trigger the sweep.

Carolina Hurricanes at New York Rangers – Game 3

Game 2 of this series will go on Friday night, and it will go a long way toward shaping this series. The Rangers need to find a way to bounce back after losing 2-1 in OT in Game 1. It was a game that looked to be heading toward a win for the Rangers before giving up the late tying goal and then losing it in overtime. Going down 0-2 is always a problem, but it’s particularly bad for the Rangers, as they failed to beat Carolina on home ice twice in the regular season. They really need the split heading home.

Calgary Flames at Edmonton Oilers – Game 3

Another series that will see Game 2 played on Friday night. We all had a feeling that this one might be explosive, but I don’t think anyone predicted the craziness that was Game 1. The Flames won that one 9-6, but they made it tougher on themselves than needed after taking a 3-0 lead very early in the game. Both teams need to tighten up on the defensive end of the ice, but you do have to say that the Flames look better equipped to do that. This is going to be a fun series from start to finish.
