2022 Texas A&M Football Preview

The Aggies will be entering their fifth season with Jimbo Fisher’s their head coach. He has a 34-14 record in his tenure here. Up until this point A&M has been somewhat of a letdown. Its true they win games and sometimes against big opponents but they also drop games they should win. They have a great recruiting class every year seemingly but fail to be in the playoff picture. Is this the year that it all changes?

Texas A&M Players

Three good QB’s are battling for the position including last year’s starter Haynes King. WR Ainias Smith is back and he brings with him his 47 catches and 6 TD’s. It should be noted that he is dealing with charges stemming from a DWI arrest.

Leading RB scorer Devon Achane is back. He had over 900 yards rushing, 9 TD’s and average 7 YPC. Three of the five starting OL are back. The offense looks very good on paper. We will see how they perform on the field.

Defensively the Aggies look good as well. Last year they allowed fewer than 20 points seven times and won all of those games. They were ranked #3 in the nation. They lost all of their front four starters but look to have a group of guys they really like replacing them, including 325 lb. McKinnley Jackson – a player they are extremely excited about.

2022 Texas A&M Schedule and Predictions

Sept. 3 Sam Houston State Kyle Field – This should be no real match for the Aggies.

Sept. 10 App State Kyle Field – App State has been playing very well the last decade and props to them for heading to TEXAM to play ball. The Aggies should win this one by a couple scores.

Sept. 17 Miami (FL) Kyle Field – Miami is coming along and is currently ranked #17 in the nation. However, this game is at Kyle Field, home of the 12th man. The Aggies should win.

Sept. 24 vs. Arkansas* Arlington, Texas – This will be a tough matchup no doubt. Arkansas is ranked and this one could go either way but the Aggies will be favored.

Oct. 1 at Mississippi State* Starkville, Miss. – The Aggies are expected to win this one in order to seek revenge for last year’s loss but we say take MSST for the win.

Oct. 8 at Alabama* Tuscaloosa, Ala. – This is the game everyone will be watching. At Alabama expect TEXAM to be getting a TD or more points. We say bet the point spread and the moneyline on the Aggies for the upset here.

Oct. 22 at South Carolina* Columbia, SC – This one will be tough but the Aggies should pull away in the second half.

Oct. 29 Ole Miss* Kyle Field – Having Ole’ Miss at home is the true advantage here and the Aggies will need it. Miss will come to play ball.

Nov. 5 Florida* Kyle Field – Florida is going to be a challenge. But they are under new coaching regime and their starting QB from last year transferred out.. We like the Aggies for the straight up win.

Nov. 12 at Auburn* Auburn, Ala. – The hits just keep on coming. Auburn is always tough but we say take the Aggies for the straight up win here as well.

Nov. 19 UMass Kyle Field – UMASS will not be a problem.

Nov. 26 LSU* Kyle Field – Having LSU at home will be the advantage. LSU is a tough program.

2022 Texas A&M prediction and odds

The current odds on team total wins for the Aggies are 8.5 games. This is because they play half a dozen really tough teams. But Jimbo has a packed squad and they will be ready to ball this season. We are leaning toward the OVER 8.5 games.

National Title odds are just +2500 at BetOnline.ag – These relatively low odds shows you that experts think highly of this team. If you think the Aggies have what it takes to win it all lock them down now. That price will only get smaller every week.
