Tonight marks the beginning of the Online Poker League (OPL) for the 18th time where players will begin the fight for $25,000 of added value thrown into the mix. Over the next three weeks, the OPL will visit no less than 10 different poker sites for the scheduled 40 tournaments.
$25,000 Added Value
- 40 tournaments
- 10 different platforms
- $25,000 guaranteed in cash prizes
- Many prizes for the leaderboard top places
- Three weeks of action
After 17 previous OPL editions, it’s incredible to see 10 different sites supporting the series. Field sizes are always growing as new players come to fight for the extra value that isn’t usually found elsewhere.
A special mention also goes out to HighStakes.com. Recently returning to its right place as a major host of OPL events, and scheduling no less than four tournaments for Season 18.
Also new for Season 18 is Twitch streamer Jordan Banfield covering the events on his channel. The Canadian will be playing in the events and broadcasting his thoughts as he battles the OPL regs.
New players need to go and check out the OPL leaderboard system, where not only can you win decent prizes for the events but the added value for performing well over the season can pay out what is essentially a big bankroll for small-stakes players.
Each event pays out the following points:
1st – 100pt
2nd – 75pt
3rd – 65pt
4th – 55pt
5th – 50pt
6th – 45pt
7th – 40pt
8th – 35pt
9th – 30pt
10th – 25pt
The final end of season leaderboard rankings will win prizes of:
1st – $500
2nd – $225
3rd – $225
4th – $225
5th – $175
Why Play in the Online Poker League?
It’s a fact that small-stakes tournament players won’t find this kind of added value anywhere else. The opportunity to win big not only from the event but also from a leaderboard without doing anything extra makes the OPL amazing value.
The previous 17 editions have paid out well into six figures, giving many players a leg up into their burgeoning poker careers. If you think this sounds ideal for you then check out all the details here.
