ACR’s special Thanksgiving Bountyful Weekend PKO series will take centre stage with no less than three multi-flight PKO tournaments and a total of $850,000 in guarantees. Not only that but there will be a roster of ACR Team Pros in the mix and a double bounty on offer for anyone who knocks them out!
The action kicks off on Thursday, November 24 and runs through to Sunday.
The series has been tiered to cater to all bankrolls; ACR sticking to its usual plan of looking after all of its players. $500k, $250k, and $100k GTD prize pools await the masses in events with buy-ins of $215, $55, $16.50 respectively. All you need to do is turn up and register.
What’s Special About Progressive Knockout Tournaments?
Progressive knockout tournaments (PKO) have become the most popular type of online MTT over the last few years, but why? Tournament players are known to seek excitement much more than their cash game playing cousins and the PKO format has revolutionised how much fun can be had.
In a PKO, each player puts half of their buy-in into the prize pool and the other half goes on their head as a bounty. When you knock a player out, you collect half of that amount into your pocket and the other half goes on your head. A great way to play tournament poker that makes it much more fun. You can also make a profit without even making the money from the prize pool.
For this upcoming series of events, double bounty payouts are the order of the day for knocking out any ACR Team Pro. But here’s the real gold: it doesn’t matter what that player’s bounty is to qualify for the double payout because it happens whatever the amount is—$100 or $100,000. So fingers crossed that these pros go on a rampage to build up a big bounty for you guys to collect.
