Bally’s Rhode Island casinos’ executive and IGT Systems Engineer recognized by Leaders & Achievers Awards program

Craig Sculos, a 30-year veteran of the casino industry with an executive leadership position at Bally’s two casinos in Rhode Island; and Bruce Parkes, IGT‘s Systems Engineer, were one of 21 honorees named by Providence Business News for its 2022 Leaders & Achievers Awards program.

Sculos is currently Senior Vice President of Rhode Island Regulatory for Bally’s Twin River Lincoln Casino Resort and Bally’s Tiverton Casino & Hotel; and Bally’s Tiverton Hotel Vice President and General Manager.

The individuals were selected for the fourth edition of the program from multiple nominees based on their leadership, achievements, and longstanding commitment to the business community. They were also recognized for their community service and mentoring efforts throughout the region.

The honorees will be recognized at an in-person ceremony on August 18 at Aldrich Mansion in Warwick, Rhode Island. They will also be featured in a special section of the Providence Business News published on September 3.

In being named to receive the award, Sculos said: “This individual achievement is the direct result of the people I work with, and the people I work for. The award validates a personal belief that fashioning a team based on aptitude and attitude is the most potent combination. This recognition is proof positive that individually we can only accomplish so much, yet collectively we can accomplish so much more. Honored and grateful, to say the least.”

Gaming and Leisure Properties Inc., a spinoff of Penn National Gaming Inc., said last month it is acquiring two Rhode Island casino properties from Bally’s Corp. for $1 billion.
