Betfred Inks Deal With LottoStar, Boosts South African Expansion

The leading global bookmaker, Betfred, has announced a new collaboration with the biggest online betting operator in South Africa, LottoStar.

It was back in June last year when Betfred finalized the purchase of Betting World and entered the South African market. Besides online, the company currently operates 53 shops in the country. Now, Betfred will continue to expand its presence in South Africa. The new deal sees the leading bookmaker take a majority of the shares in LottoStar. Founded in 2014, LottoStar quickly became a leading betting and live casino operator in South Africa.

Commenting on the recent deal, LottoStar’s CEO, Tasoulla Hadjigeorgiou, revealed that the company was founded as a “family-run business with an innovative model to offer a fixed-odds betting online platform in South Africa. She pointed out that as a leading online betting provider in the country, LottoStar is excited to join forces with Betfred. Hadjigeorgiou revealed that the company is confident that the new collaboration will expand its offering, while at the same time delivering high-quality services for its customers. Betfred Continues to Grow
