Bill Perkins has smashed his weight loss bet with Dan Bilzerian. The hedge fund trader posted pics from his weigh-in, making most onlookers jealous of his amazing progress from only eight month’s work.

I have a 200k get under 9 percent body fat bet by April 22nd. Will I make it? #Exercise#Diet

7.9% Body Fat at 53-Years-Old

Perkins starting from a point of 23-24% estimated body fat had many onlookers thinking that this was an impossible proposition for a 53-year-old man. How wrong they were.

He did write that he had been measured at 7.4% body fat in the last 10 years, but 10 years is still 10 years and that makes a big difference after 40.

In the end, Perkins came in at an impressive 7.9% bodyfat and tweeted that it was now maintenance time. Maybe it’s time for somebody to make the trader another bet for how long he can keep in such great shape. It’s one thing to have a singular goal to focus on but once that is achieved motivation is never the same. Maintaining such a physique can’t be easy.

Today was measurement day for my Body fat bet and I smashed it at 7.9% !!👊🏾🥳👊🏾🥳💥🥳. Maintenance time! #Health#Fitness#painful#GimmeDaLootpic.twitter.com/mtWpdU6aYV

Doug Polk’s Body Fat Bet with Bill Perkins Still Underway

Bill Perkins hasn’t just been concentrating on his own weight loss recently because his bet with Doug Polk to lose half of his bodyfat within a year is still ongoing.

I have officially started a 1 year bet against @bp22. 1 year to lose half of my body fat. I just got my dexa scan and I came in @ 27.7% bf.

Feb 10th 2023 I must be < 13.85% BF

We bet $200,000

The Journey begins.

(Bill encouraged me to post a before photo, posted below)

— Doug Polk (@DougPolkVids) February 10, 2022

Polk’s dexa scan registered a bodyfat percentage of 27.7%, meaning that by February 10, 2023 he must come in a under 13.85% or he will be paying Perkins $200,000.

Given Polk’s relatively young age of 34, this bet should be a walk in the park. He could even achieve this easily within six months if he wanted to. But as Matt Berkey pointed out, the day of the next scan never changes so if Polk is too eager he may end up having to lose a chunk of weight twice in the year.
