NFL Green Bay Packers Betting Analysis: Updated Super Bowl Odds

One of the National Football League’s top teams, the Green Bay Packers is one of the top five choices to win the 2022 Super Bowl. One of the reasons is because Green Bay held home field advantage throughout last season’s NFC Playoffs. But just because a team performed well last season, it doesn’t mean it’s guaranteed to play well the following season. Read why you should consider laying money on this season’s Green Bay Packers squad to win Super Bowl 56. Let’s get right to it so you can plan your bets against their Super Bowl odds.

Why Bet on the Packers to Win Super Bowl LVI?

Super Bowl LVI

  • When: Sunday, Feb. 13, 2022
  • Where: SoFi Stadium, Inglewood, CA
  • TV / Streaming: NBC / Peacock

Aaron Rodgers plays for the Packers

The first reason is obvious. Aaron Rodgers plays for Green Bay. The three-time league MVP is on fire this season.

Not counting the Week 12 game versus the Rams, Rodgers has thrown for 2,751 yards and 21 touchdowns to just 4 interceptions. His completion percentage is 66.8%.

Rodgers won his third MVP last season, which means that although he’s 37-years-old, he’s still playing at a crazy high level.

The Packers boast two starting running backs

Packers running back Aaron Jones had to take some time off because of an injury. Jones returned versus the Rams.

With Jones and A.J. Dillon both able to carry the load, Green Bay’s rushing attack is close to second to none. Both Jones and Dillon averaged 4.4 yards per carry before the game versus the Rams.

If both continue on their current pace, the Packers could end up with two 1,000 yard rushers this season.

The defense is much better than many believed it would be.

The Packers’ defense was supposed to be the problem area. So far, that hasn’t been the case. Like every team, one in a while Green Bay’s D lays an egg.

But for the most part, the defense has played well enough to keep the Pack in games. More importantly, the D appears to be rounding into its best form.

Heading into NFL Week 12, the Packers ranked seventh in yards allowed per game at 318.8. Green Bay ranked seventh in total passing yards allowed per, 213.2, and fifth in points allowed each contest at 19.5.

Not only that, but the defense has forced 15 takeaways, making Green Bay’s turnover ratio 9-to-15.

Matt Lafluer has become one of the top coaches in the NFL

LaFleur used to be the Los Angeles Rams’ coordinator. Since 2019, LaFleur and Aaron Rodgers have terrorized opposing defenses.

LaFleur and Rodgers are perfect together. Rodgers has a lot of say in the offense, which is the way LaFleur likes to do things. Think the early years of Sean Payton and Drew Brees in the New Orleans to get an idea of the relationship between LaFleur and his quarterback.

It’s a matter of time before the 42-year-old coach secures his first Super Bowl appearance. It could happen this season because Rodgers is on point, the Packers have a great rushing attack, and the defense is one of the best units in the league.
