Highest Scoring Games in Super Bowl History | NFL Betting

Super Bowl 29 – San Francisco 49ers 49 San Diego Chargers 26

This was the game that saw the 49ers become the first tea, to win 5 Super Bowls and it was as easy as the score suggests. The 49ers were up 14-0, scoring on each of their opening 2 drives. The Chargers made it close for a minute, but this game was never ever really in doubt. It was 28-10 at the half and the 49ers continued to pile it on in the second half.

Super Bowl 52 – Philadelphia Eagles 41 New England Patriots 33

We don’t often get to see Tom Brady lose in the Super Bowl, but this was one for the ages. The Eagles went on a roll in the playoffs with backup QB Nick Foles under center and never looked back. This one was like a prize fight between a pair of heavyweights, going back and forth until the Eagles delivered the knockout blow in the 4th quarter.

Super Bowl 37 – Tampa Bay Buccaneers 48 Oakland Raiders 21

While high-scoring, this Super Bowl goes into the blowout category, with this game all but done by half-time. The Raiders actually scored first, going up 3-0, before finding themselves down 34-3 less than 5 minutes into the 3rd quarter. This game was highlighted by a trio of interceptions for a TD by the Buccaneers, 2 of which came from Dwight Smith, who won the MVP.

Super Bowl 27 – Dallas Cowboys 52 Buffalo Bills 17

Another championship game that became instantly forgettable due to the nature of the blowout. This was the Dallas Cowboys at the height of their power in the 90’s and it was all on full display in the Super Bowl. Things didn’t really get out of control until the 4th quarter when the Cowboys scored 21 unanswered points, but it was an outcome that never really seemed to be in doubt.

Super Bowl 13 – Pittsburgh Steelers 35 Dallas Cowboys 31

This was the end of a decade and the Steelers at their very best. Terry Bradshaw came away with the MVP in this one, thanks in large part to a 75-yard TD pass in the 2nd quarter. The Cowboys kept this one close from start to finish, but they had a lot of errors throughout the game, many of which were pounced on by the eventual winners.
