Ready for New Year’s Eve in Vegas? • This Week in Gambling

Every year I remember too late that I should have booked a room for New Year’s Eve in Vegas. And ever year I tell myself that next year I’ll remember. It’s a vicious circle. The thought of sharing in the fireworks show with thousands of other inebriated souls is more appealing than it probably should be.

However, if you are one of the lucky people who did remember to make plans for New Year’s Eve in Vegas, then understand that there is far more to do in Sin City that just drinking and watching things explode. And we’re sharing a few of them here.

First, when talking about Las Vegas news around this time of year, you must address the fireworks display. While we wait for details on which casinos will be participating in the event, there are tickets available for viewing parties all up and down the Strip. You can also find parties down on Fremont Street in downtown, plus local clubs and Area 15.

There are many other ways to celebrate New Year’s Eve in Vegas, starting at Caesars Palace, where Steve Aoki will be at the Omnia Nightclub starting at 8pm. The hit show Absinthe also has a party package that includes a show and a pass to the Green Fairy Garden for an open bar where you can watch the fireworks at midnight.

There are also several parties at the Cosmopolitan. There, the Ice Rink opens at 9pm for a three-hour Champagne toast with a complimentary ice skate rental, followed by a fireworks viewing. Another party at the Chandelier kicks off at 9:30 with an unlimited bar package where you can have craft cocktails and Champagne, then join the fireworks viewing from the Ice Rink.

Down at Mandalay Bay, the party kicks off at 9pm in their Foundation Room, complete with an open bar until 11pm. There’s also a party going down in their House of Blues venue starting at the same time. And in the Minus5 Icebar, there will be a New Year’s around the world celebration, with a Champagne toast every hour to welcome 2023 to each time zone! That starts at 11 in the morning (hey, it’s midnight somewhere!)

Not to be left out, there’s a party at the Brooklyn Bridge at New York New York. This “Bridge Bash” begins at 9 pm with DJs and dancers, an open bars, and great views of the fireworks. Of course, these are not the only events going down for New Year’s Eve in Vegas. There are also quite a few big acts you could enjoy earlier in the evening!

Among those are Bruno Mars at Park MGM, Kevin Hart at Resorts World, Gwen Stefani at The Venetian, The Chainsmokers at the Wynn, Tenacious D at Virgin, and of course Adele is at Caesars Palace. You can also check out the Review-Journal for additional details and updates on other events!
