Stadium Sportsbooks Planned for MLB, NBA & NHL

BetMGM and FanDuel announced the openings of stadium sportsbooks in separate releases. BetMGM has teamed with the Washington Nationals, while FanDuel will work with the stadium where the Chicago Bulls and Blackhawks play.

Plans for the BetMGM sportsbook should have it live before the start of baseball season. Fans of Major League Baseball’s Washington Nationals will have access to a sportsbooks at Nationals Park, which will provide innovative entertainment to watch the games and place a few wagers. There will be features such as 40″ big-screen TVs, live odds boards that update as the action progresses, and a full-service beverage and dining options.

The sportsbook at Nationals Park will also complement the launch of the BetMGM app which went live last June. This is just the latest phase of BetMGM’s multi-year, exclusive partnership with the Washington Nationals, and now allows visitors to place wagers directly with a cashier, on the app, or at betting kiosks.

The stadium sportsbooks are not limited to baseball, however. FanDuel has made a deal with the United Center, home of the Chicago Bulls of the NBA and the Chicago Blackhawks of the NHL. They have plans for a state-of-the-art FanDuel stadium sportsbook lounge inside Chicago’s most iconic arena, pending approval from the Illinois Gaming Board. If approved, it will bring sports wagering inside the venue where fans can enjoy the action of Bulls and Blackhawks games all season long.

These are just the first stadium sportsbooks to be announced since the legalization of the activity. With the growth of betting on sports in America, we’re certain to see more and more over the next several months and years.
