There will be no COVID vaccination requirements and masking is optional.

The first of the four daily starting flights of the $10K Main Event begins Sunday, July 3, and the final table is set to play over two days starting Friday, July 15.

This is the first year the WSOP will be run at Paris Las Vegas and Bally’s, which will soon be rebranded the Horseshoe. The first 35 years took place at Binion’s Horseshoe before moving to the Rio in 2005.

To help keep lines manageable, officials are encouraging players to utilize online registration through the BravoPokerLive.com app. This requires players to have their identities validated at the casino.

Once player’s are validated, they can register on Bravo and then print their seat cards at self-service kiosks that will be located throughout the venues.

New for 2022

Besides moving from the Rio after 17 years, the WSOP is trying out some new formats this year.

Tournament of Champions

The Series will be capped by a $1 Million Tournament of Champions free roll open to all bracelet winners and all WSOP Circuit gold ring winners from the 2022 season, including players who won them online. The three-day event starts July 18.

Online players in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Nevada can get into that free roll now, and there are monthly WSOP Circuit events scheduled this spring.

It will be the first time all the winners will be brought together at the end of the Series.

Million Dollar Mystery Bounty

Originally conceived for the cancelled 2020 WSOP, this $1,000 buy-in event allows the players who make it to the second day to claim the bounties of the players they knocked out. The bounties, which will range from $100 to one worth $1 million, will be randomly drawn.

Mid-stake events

On Wednesdays starting June 1, eight no-limit bracelet events with buy-ins ranging from $2,000 and $5,000 will be held.

Housewarming event

A four-flight, $500 buy-in $5 million guaranteed event will start on June 2. Yep, $5 million. Each day until June 4, two satellites will take place to feed this tourney: A $75 buy-in at noon, and a $130 buy-in at 4 p.m.

$100K High Roller Bounty

While the first official bracelet event is the $500 casino employees event, the $100K buy-in High Roller Bounty event gives the nose-bleed pros a reason to show up on the first day. The bounties are $25K.

Familiar faces

Many WSOP fan favorites return for 2022.

The Colossus

The first of the two starting flights of the $400 Colossus begins June 24. Last year’s Colossus attracted 9,399 players and generated a prize pool north of $3 million.

Seniors and Super Seniors

Two seniors events are scheduled, one for players 50 and older (June 22), and the Super Seniors, for players 60 and over (June 23).  Both events cost $1,000.

Ladies Championship

The $1,000 Ladies Championship is scheduled for June 29.

Poker Hall of Fame bounty event

The $1,976 buy-in event which invites members of the Poker Hall of Fame as bounties takes place July 10.

Online bracelet events

Every Sunday during the WSOP, online bracelets will be won, and two will be won June 5, July 10, and July 17. The entire schedule can be found here.

Daily DeepStacks

In general, three Deepstack events take place daily: 2 p.m., $150 buy-in; 5 p.m., $400 buy-in; and 9 p.m., $200 buy-in. These are not bracelet events.

Satellites

Each night starting May 31, $580 satellites will take place where winners receive $5,000 in tournament credit. Daily satellites will also be run for the tournaments scheduled for that week. Click here for the sats schedule.

In all, 89 bracelet events will take place. The entire 2022 schedule can be found here.
