Top 2021 NHL Matches to Must Watch & Bet On Week 11

Once we put 2020 in the rearview mirror, it felt as though life was beginning to return to normal. In terms of sports, fans were back in the seats and the disruptions and cancellations appeared to be a thing of the past. While not quite as bad as before, we are beginning to see some issues arise again in the sports world. That is certainly the case in the NHL, with the Calgary Flames seeing their games postponed until at least December 16 after they experienced a COVID outbreak that affected players and staff. They would have certainly been included in this list of best NHL games for the week, but we are now leaving them off until we know more about their situation. The good news is that there are plenty of solid matchups to choose from still. Let’s get to it.

NHL Betting | Top Must Bet Games Dec 13th Edition

Toronto Maple Leafs at Edmonton Oilers – Tuesday

It’s a loaded schedule on Monday with a lot of great games to choose from, but this was the one that jumped off the page for me. Toronto has gone 7-2-1 in their last 10 games and are tied for 1st in the Atlantic Division with 40 points. They will hit the road to face an Edmonton team trying to haul themselves out of a 5-game losing skid that has dropped them to 4-6-0 in their last 10 games. The Maple Leafs have done most of their winning on home ice, but they are a respectable 7-4-1 on the road this season.

Carolina Hurricanes at Minnesota Wild – Tuesday

The Flames were supposed to play Chicago in the only Monday game, so since that is cancelled let’s double dip the Tuesday schedule. The Carolina Hurricanes have cooled off a little of late and have been playing .500 hockey over their last 10 games. That said, they are still just a single point out of the top spot in the Metropolitan Division. The Wild come into this week on the heels of back-to-back losses, but they are still 8-2-0 in their last 10 and have a 4-point lead atop the Central Division.

Seattle Kraken at Anaheim Ducks – Wednesday

With the Flames now set to be idle for at least 2 games, the Anaheim Ducks have an opportunity to increase their lead atop the Pacific Division. They are 6-2-2 in their last 10 games and have a 1-point lead over Calgary, although they have played 2 more games than the Flames at this point of the season. The Kraken are losers of 3 straight and finding life tough in their inaugural season. They only have 3 wins on the road right now, so you would have to like the Ducks here.

Colorado Avalanche at Nashville Predators – Thursday

The Avalanche came into the season as the favorites to win the Stanley Cup, and while a lot of people still like them to go all the way, they are in a tough fight in the Central Division. The Avalanche are 4th right now but just a single point back of the Predators in 2nd. Colorado has won 4 in a row to go to 7-2-1 in their last 10, while the Nashville Predators have win 5 in a row to move to 7-3-0 in their last 10. This might just be the biggest game in the midweek schedule.
