Vegas Tournament Preview – November 2022

Vegas Tournament Preview – November 2022

Latest Poker News

Aaaaand we’re back with monthly tournament previews for Las Vegas. The doldrums that follow the WSOP are about to end, and November should serve as a nice warmup for what will be a monster month of December for tournament players.

In fact, December is going to be so big that even the PokerGo tour is taking most of November off to get ready. They have three events in Europe, the only month this year where they aren’t broadcasting from Vegas.

That lull leaves us with a few one-off events from the Charity Series of Poker (CSOP) and, of course, the DeepStacks Extravaganza from The Venetian. We’re lucky to have the Venetian to get us through the slow times, as they seem committed to running a series one after the other with no pauses in between, and making sure that tournament grinders in sin city always have something to play.

The Charity Series of Poker

The CSOP will host events on October 30 and November 11 for The United Way and Families for Effective Autism Treatment with buy-ins of $300 each ($100 rebuys will be available and encouraged). These events are always star-studded, friendly, and feature a ton of great prizes, including $5,000 cash guaranteed for first place.

Venetian Deep Stack Extravaganza 2022

The Venetian Deep Stack Extravaganza is the big event for November. The series features two tournaments each day, and starts with two Mid-States Poker Tour events with solid guarantees. Then, a $1 million guarantee from the CardPlayer Poker Tour and satellites to the $15 million guaranteed WPT Championship, which will be held at The Wynn in December. Events run the entire month with most buy-ins between $300 and $600.

December features a ton of other events too, and the city should look like it does during the World Series of Poker for much of the month, with big-name pros everywhere and huge fields all over town.

Since we’re talking about Vegas, there are also tons of daily tournaments to be found around town, including solid events at the Wynn, Aria, MGM, South Point, and The Orleans. And that should keep us all busy until the avalanche of poker hits starting in early December. Book those hotel rooms now for December because they’re likely to fill up and prices will skyrocket.
