Where to Watch/Listen: Breeders’ Cup Week 2022

After months of buildup, the 2022 Breeders’ Cup World Championships is just around the corner, and the upcoming week ahead promises to be full of excitement as the best racehorses in North America (and several others coming in from overseas) prepare for the two-day event Nov. 4-5 at Keeneland Race Course in Lexington, Ky.

Much of the pre-event buzz surrounds Longines Breeders’ Cup Classic contender Flightline, who comes into the race unbeaten in five career starts and has yet to be challenged on the track. He will headline the $6 million Longines Classic, which will be shown live exclusively on NBC and Peacock Saturday, Nov. 5, with a scheduled post time of 5:40 p.m. ET.

NBC Sports will also show 11 of the 13 other Breeders’ Cup races on Nov. 4 and Nov. 5. Five races on Nov. 4 – Future Stars Friday at Keeneland – will be televised on USA Network during a broadcast from 2-6 p.m. ET. On Saturday, NBC Sports’ coverage picks back up on USA Network from 1-3:30 p.m. ET, featuring four Breeders’ Cup races, and then switches to NBC for the remaining three races on a show from 3:30-6 p.m., finishing with the Longines Classic.

In addition to the NBC Breeders’ Cup coverage, 13 of the 14 races – every one except the Classic – will be shown live on FanDuel TV on Nov. 4-5. FanDuel TV will televise the first two Breeders’ Cup races on the Nov. 5 card before the USA Network show begins. Click here for a full rundown of the race order for the two-day Breeders’ Cup at Keeneland.

The post-position draw for the 39th Breeders’ Cup will be held Monday, Oct. 31 at Rupp Arena in Lexington, and FanDuel TV will broadcast the draw for all 14 races live in a show starting at 2:30 p.m. ET. The Breeders’ Cup draw will also air on the Breeders’ Cup’s website and its social channels.

FanDuel TV also presents “Breakfast at the Breeders’ Cup” from Oct. 31-Nov. 3 every morning live from Keeneland. The show, which runs from 7-10 a.m. ET, features final workouts from contenders and the latest news about the event from FanDuel TV analysts and guests. It’s also available on the Breeders’ Cup’s website and its social channels.

FanDuel TV’s usual daily slate this week includes live racing coverage from numerous other tracks in North America, including Santa Anita Park’s closing weekend, Gulfstream Park, and Woodbine.

Racing from Aqueduct, which kicks off its fall meet Nov. 4, and three days of racing at Churchill Downs will air this week on “America’s Day at the Races.” The program, presented by America’s Best Racing, will be shown on FS2 – see the below schedule for air times.

Bonus racing coverage on the FS2 calendar this week is special indeed, as the prestigious Melbourne Cup at Flemington Racecourse in Australia will be shown live on Oct. 31. The two-hour broadcast begins at 10:30 p.m. ET.

Horse racing from tracks around the world is available to subscribers on Racetrack Television Network (RTN), which can be livestreamed on all devices (computer, tablet and smartphone) and on TV via DISH Network, Amazon Fire and Roku.

For Breeders’ Cup week, ABR presents two streaming programs that will preview the 14-race World Championships card. First, Dan Tordjman, Ashley Mailloux, and special guests will handicap the races on “Breeders’ Cup Preview LIVE!” The livestream airs Wednesday, Nov. 2 at 8 p.m. ET and will stream on ABR’s Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube channels.

Then, on Thursday, Nov. 3, Joy Taylor and Jonathon Kinchen host a special “Breeders’ Cup Preview!” show. This prerecorded program airs at 8 p.m. ET and will also stream on ABR’s Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube channels.

Lastly, the Breeders’ Cup’s “Cocktails and Conversations” livestream previewing the two-day event is scheduled for Nov. 3 at 11 a.m. ET. Hosted by Britney Eurton, Nick Luck, and Mark Tubridy, “Cocktails and Conversations” will be streamed on Breeders’ Cup’s Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube channels.
