WSOP.com Bracelet Race Starts Sunday, Satellites Are Running Now

WSOP.com’s bracelet events are scheduled to take place every Sunday starting this weekend for players located in New Jersey, Nevada, Delaware, Michigan, and Pennsylvania.

Nightly satellites into the events are also running in its four US markets — New Jersey, Nevada, and Delaware play on one client, while Pennsylvania and Michigan players compete against players within their state borders on their own clients.

A mega-satellite where up to 30 seats are guaranteed will take place every Saturday in all the markets. Times vary, but most take place in the evenings, except of course in Vegas. They start at $33. Check the poker clients throughout the week for more information, as satellites are often added.

History to be made in Michigan

This will be the first — and last — year Michigan players can win bracelets playing only against opponents located within the state. WSOP.com went live there in March.

State regulators recently hitched its poker market to the Multi-State Internet Gaming Act (MSIGA), and WSOP.com will soon hook-up their players with players in the MSIGA member states of New Jersey, Nevada, and Delaware.

Plenty of bracelets to be won in Pennsylvania

Pennsylvania’s schedule is completely the same as Michigan’s, with one exception: July 17’s No-Limit Hold’em Championship costs $1,000 in Pennsylvania and $2,000 in Michigan. It has the same $18K guarantee.

More states in the pool mean a beefier schedule

Nevada, New Jersey, and Delaware’s schedule is more robust, and kicks off and finishes with a $5,300 No-Limit Hold’em freezout. A $100 satellite with a five-seat promise takes place on June 4, and 16.

Players outside of Nevada will have the additional thrill — or headache — of facing bona-fide poker champions who might actually be playing against them online while competing in live WSOP events at Bally’s or Paris.

Too bad WSOP.com doesn’t have a chat feature.
